To my co-helpers: With a mixture of old and new faces, each team managed admirably; Thank You.
To my customers: No litter, no lost property, no complaints; Thank You.
Good luck to those of you going to the British Schools Championships. I trust this was good practice for you.

Planner's and Controller's Comments Colin's courses were planned to be straightforward as this was a beginners event. Everyone appeared to enjoy them, despite the grey weather, particularly the downhill finish. A special thanks to Mum for stepping in during the last week and on the day as Colin was unwell.
It is clear that it takes as much effort to organise a small Ozone event as the larger colour coded ones. With Ray as Organiser and a good turn out from NOC's finest to help I knew that all would be well. Thank you for your hard work.
I had not been in Blidworth for some time. Most of the area used for the courses was flattened by gales in 1976. The stump banks were formed from trees blown over at that time. When I first orienteered here in the early 1980s I remember that the map was mainly yellow and on a sunny day running uphill in the sand was warm work. Twenty years on the trees are maturing and the next edition of the map will show this area turning from dark green towards white.
I hope you enjoyed the courses and we look forward to seeing you at a NOC event in the near future.
